Batkid Takes Over San Francisco

With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the city, 5 year old Miles Scott, aka Batkid, took off from Union Square in San Francisco California in a Batmobile (black Lamborghini with batman decals) to fight off crime. Miles is a Leukemia patient who’s now in remission. When the charity, which grants wishes for ill children, asked Miles to name his dream, his answer was simply: “I want to be Batkid”. Batkid had a successful day because he rescued a woman and disabled a plastic replica bomb she was tied to, and caught the Riddler as he tried robbing a downtown bank. Thousands of volunteers participated in this event, and it has turned into a full blown phenomenon. Also, Batkid was honored with a key to the city as November 15 is declared Batkid Day in San Francisco’s Gotham City.
